Wow! So I had the pleasure of working on some toy designs a while back, for @hasbro @transformers BotBots wave 4 and 5 line. And some of them have started popping up in stores! This is another dream come true for me!
1. TRANSFORMERS!
2. TOYS!
3. DESIGNED BY ME!
I thank God every day for the amazing opportunities I've had in my life.
*There are many more BotBots so I'll post over the next few days.
Meantime.. If any of you guys or your kids have any of the BotBots I've designed... Please share a pic and tag me in it! I'm so excited!

Here's a few more of those Transformers BotBots that I had the pleasure to work on!
Big shout, again, to the team over at @hasbro for trusting me to be a part of the creative process! Thanks Sean Carmine Isabella for pointing me in the direction of Edgar Serret! Brilliant guy to work with. Also the crazy talented Ms Miru Shim for directing me along the way on related projects!
Teamwork makes the dream work!
Hope to collaborate more with you guys!

Way back in 2016 I had the honor of pitching a spin off Transformers IP along with my manager, John Warden, to Hasbro CEO Brian Goldner and the rest of Hasbro Senior Management as a part of our internal “Grand Idea Fair” competition. It’s a radical departure from the super G1 designs that we were doing on Generations and I’m super proud of Hasbro for going through with something so bold.
Once we pitched the concept, the Transformers RID team took the concept to the finish line, but these are a few of my early designs. At the time, we had a ton of artwork from outside vendors that were spot on, but most had traditional G1 faces. My goal with these characters was to bring in more personality, while still maintaining some key Transformers design elements.
Right before our pitch, I was tasked with teasing out different Botbot teams. Sour-wing was the first concept for the rotten food team that would then become the Grossery Gang.

I initially envisioned these two as siblings, one angry and one happy.

For Bonz-Eye, I was exploring a character that was cute AND tough. Design lead Sean Carmine-Isabella knew this character was my favorite so he was kind enough to put Bonz-Eye into the core cast of “Lost Bots.” Sadly, the katana didn’t cost out, but since then, our other samurai inspired characters have kept theirs. I'll chalk it up to a win!

It's Bot Bots Month!
Here's some early concepts and alternate designs sketches.
Clearly way too many steps at this point, for the final version sizes and parts count, of those little cuties.

Very early in the concept phase.

It's Bot Bots Month!
Here's some early, very rough concepts for Bot Bot Kiosks, with little box/squares meant to indicate storage for your bot bots collection. Here's a popcorn maker and magic shop.
Clearly way too many steps at this point, for the final version sizes and parts count, and probably way oversized. Very early in the concept phase, but you can see the evolution of the idea to the just released images of the pizza car, etc. posted by Transformers social media yesterday.

This guy is definitely a favorite! Be sure you head over to the hasbro pulse page and preorder these lil fun bots!
I snuck in a couple of easter eggs and this lil Megatron blaster for the video game store is one of um!
The Kremzeek idea came into my head while I was picking out colors for this guy, hope yall collect them all!

A Botbot a day keeps the grumpies away!
Here we have the bacon butcher bot, he actually has a butcher knife hidden in the back piece of the bacon.
I'll try to post my concept art here and be sure to check out the show tomorrow, hopefully while eating yummy bacon. 🥓

The brand new Transformers Botbots show airs tomorrow on Netflix!
Shown here is the concept art I designed for the toilet bowl brush who is part of the Toilet Troop squad in the mall.
The team had a blast trying to decide what the new stores would be and what objects in the mall would come to life.
Stay tuned for more Botbots FUN!

Chitter click who was part of the Outta Controller spaceship in the Ruckas Rally episode was so much fun to watch!
Its really amazing to watch these guys come to life on the screen.
I hope all of you get a chance to watch some episodes and order some toys on the Hasbro’s pulse!

I don't know about you but when I was a kid I was addicted to juicebox's!
Here is the concept art I drew for the toy thats available for purchase on the pulse.
For those of you that know, the graphic on the front of the box showcases an earlier released Botbot, implying this is indeed an orange drank! 😉
The Netflix show potrays the juicebox as Spudmuffins main squeeze. 😂 I'm beyond thrilled that my toy inspired such a great cartoon character!

The RacerRoni concept car I designed was tricked out!
Tomato slice wheels, ketchup relish mustard squirt blasters, french fry seats, anchovie missile launcher with the grilled cheese launch pad, and triple pipe turbo charge exhaust!!!
Oh yeah!!! This thing is ready to grease the track and keep it smellin cheesy for a stinky win at the Ruckas Rally!
Swipe right to see how it became an awesome kids toy and how that inspired our animation peoples to make the one on the Botbots show!
If you haven't watched this hilarious but fun cartoon, your missing out!

by Sahl'GOOD Studios:
Storyboards from a Transformers commercial that never was. I was asked to put in action these Botbots from a Transformers toy line featuring minicons that can transform into random things you'd find in a shopping mall. Hardware, sporting, food court, school supplies, etc. I had a blast doing it, I love Transformers, but I don’t think the board was ever used. Sahlgood!
And yes that is me doing the sound fxs. When I pitch a storyboard it really helps to sell the story and action. Don't laugh at me, just watch it again muted and see the difference. 😊 Peace!
